What an agency sees about you, and what it does not

Not a promise made in good faith: a permission the agency does not have.

Your contact details and your documents live in tables an agency has no read permission on. The restriction is enforced in the database, not on the screen.

And there are details Talpass does not even ask you for today: no IBAN, no postal address, no phone number.

You don’t arrive alone

What happens the day you get there

  1. Before you leave

    An agent, with a name

When an agency picks you, you are not writing to an inbox: you get a person assigned to you, who is there through your arrival and while you work with the agency.

  2. The arrival

The trip is arranged with them

The journey and the first day are prepared with your agent. In some cases they pick you up at the airport or at a point the two of you agree on.

  3. The first day

    Paperwork takes hours, not weeks

Same day. In some offers you are handed the company vehicle right there; in others they take you straight to your accommodation.

  4. The first payday

    And you get paid soon

Some offers pay weekly and others pay monthly.

This is how agency work runs in Germany. What applies to you depends on the offer and on the agency that picks you.

What you are wondering

Six answers, including the uncomfortable ones.

What does this cost me?

Nothing, and it is not a launch offer: charging a candidate for access to a job is prohibited in the European Union. No commission on your wage, no subscription, no paying to feature your profile. Talpass charges nobody today: there is no payment gateway at all. The day there is one, the agency is who pays.

Who hires me, Talpass or the agency?

The agency hires you: it signs your contract and it pays you. Talpass is not a temp agency nor a placement agency, it hires nobody and it is not party to any employment contract. What it does is put you in front of the agency.

Do I need an EU passport?

Yes. It is a requirement, not a preference: these offers are for people who can work in the European Union without a work permit, with the passport or ID card of an EU country. English, on the other hand, depends on each offer.

Who pays for the trip and the accommodation?

You pay for the trip. And the accommodation, when the offer includes it, is not a gift: it is deducted straight from your wage. An offer saying “with accommodation” means the agency finds it and fronts it for you, not that it comes free.

When do I get paid?

It depends on the agency: some offers pay weekly and others pay monthly.

What do agencies see about me?

Your profile without your full surname and without any way to contact you, and nothing more until you give a specific agency permission.
