What you are authorising

That your voice recording in English can be played by an approved work agency while it browses the talent pool.

It is always played next to your pseudonymised name — «Carlos M.» — and never next to your full identity. A voice with no surname, no email and no address identifies very little, and that is deliberate.

Why it exists, and why it is optional

It is what lets an agency form an idea of your English without asking you for your documents yet. Without a recording, your profile is a list of green ticks and the first thing any agency does is ask for your ID.

It is genuinely optional: if you do not grant it, your profile still exists and still appears in the pool, only nobody can listen to you. You are not penalised for withholding it, and the box does not come pre-ticked.

How it is played

It is not downloaded. The server checks that your consent is still alive and issues a very short-lived signed link — five minutes at most — to play it.

Every listen is logged just like the opening of a document: who, when, from which IP and with which browser.

The file lives in private storage. There is no public address from which it can be heard.

How to withdraw it

In «My account», with a button. There is nobody to write to and nothing to wait for: from that moment it stops being audible.

The consent row is not deleted when you withdraw it: it gets a withdrawal date. It is the proof that you gave it for a period, and that proof protects you as much as it protects us. If you grant it again, a new row is written with its own date and version.

The recording is still yours

Withdrawing the consent makes your recording inaudible to agencies, but it does not delete the file.
